I publish this for two reasons, the first that I am so pleased that the buyer of this Tachi will obviously enjoy the sword as much as I have for so many years.
The second is that today on the internet people are rightly cautious when spending large amounts of money, the fakes and frauds that infest the splendid Nihont hobby, can be avoided by using tried and trusted sellers.
This collector trusted me with both his money and my advice, he also paid and as he was on vacation left the sword with me for six weeks.........

Recent attemps at 'Scams' have made me cautious, I do not send goods on approval or offer refunds. This was brought about by several people buying items, trying to sell on ebay and when not sold at a sometime vast profit reserve, demanding refunds.
Sorry, the world is changing and not always for the better.
This is an honest collectors site where I am selling my collection.
The items are described to the best of my ability but my opinions only.
If you are able to arrange a visit to see and handle the item, we can do this.
Call me on (UK) 01736 753581 and have a chat.

This man drove 300 miles and spent a morning viewing some swords befor buying this one.
We are now in regular communication not for buying but for collector chats.... the way it should be.

Some of my comments re Swords are gleaned from others, an example of this is shown below.
The sword was examined by BW.Robinson (Well known early British collector and sword expert/Author) in the late 1970's.
As I have a wide general knowledge but have never been an in depth scholar as my interests encompass all Japanese and some Chinese art forms. I have relied to some extent on those with greater knowledge.
