Accepted methods of payment are as follows..............
Paypal. If you are prepare to cover the cost of 4% this is available to you.{Sorry,I no longer accept Paypal}
Bank transfer.Easy way to pay for an item but the transfer must be in GBP, if not conversion charge is applicable.
By Cheque, based on a UK bank account. Other may incur charges.
Cash, in GBP is acceptable and safe as long as the postage is secure and insured.
Postal orders, this is mainly a UK payment system.
International Sterling money order, simple, companies such as 'Well Fargo' Banks etc operate this system.
Payment in Euro/Dollars {US} is fine but a charge of £7 is levied for conversion to £.
Not as complicated as it sounds, I have had near 500 transactions so far without a problem (See Koto4 feedback on ebay).
Mail me if you have a concern,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, greyman2@endworld.freeserve.co.uk
POSTAGE........{Ltd offer,free postage on items priced above £1000,see index page.}
Items within the UK & EU via Royal mail of a value around £1000/2000 mark fully insured and Under 2kilo will be approx: £30.(Note, due to recent changes in the size and weight, longer,larger and more expensive items will now go via another carrier,eg, UPS. For example, a 3kilo parcel to New York with an insured value of £4.500, cost £113 and delivered in two working days.
International data post {Royal Mail} Insured value £2500 and up to 2kilo £135 insurance.{See above}
Royal mail Global priority around £100
In some case's it is cheaper for a buyer in the US to arrange collection via DHL,UPS or other.
Exact cost is difficult owing to the Value/Country factor,eg, some of my collection has gone to the following countries. Russia,Italy,Germany,Australia,New Zealand, Peru,Chile,USA, Canada,Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan France,Spain,Poland,Alaska, etc etc. In the last five years on only one occasion has an item gone astray,it did take four months to recover the insured cost but that item was intended for Taiwan.
Mail me with any questions.{Please read my " Happy Buyer"} Page, I am aware of the fear of fraud on the web and will not be offended if you request other forms of confirmation. E.G. one Buyer asked that the item be photographed with me holding it against the local police station as a background!!!!!!! NO PROBLEM at all, in fact it was fun..........NO nudity though, am not a pretty sight at my age.
DESCRIPTIONS
All items for sale are described within my capabilities. These are opinions only and thus open to debate. Please check with others to confirm.
CUSTOMS declarations
I have no problem at all with this, each item sent outside the UK and the EU, must have a valid Customs & Excise declaration. Please let the carrier or postal service rule on this, I will not falsely declare the content but will be advised by the postal system used as to how this can be worded.
As I do not sell from my collection any 'Prohibited' item, there is no real problem at all. Even the Matchlock guns and those converted to Percussion etc, are either confirmed 'Obsolete' caliber or just plain Antique firearms.
Prints,Lacquer, Metalware etc,if Antique and have duty levied are at the worst lower in duty payable at a vastly reduced charge, at the best the majority go thru the system without anything being charged at all.
Again please mail me with any questions.
All this is to re assure any potential buyer of items from my collection that I will in all case's treat you as I would like to be treated.
Thanks
